What a wonderful hotel! It's luxurious, historic, well-located, incredibly quiet and comfortable, and with the greatest concierge service ever. The staff are uniformly helpful and gracious. There are many on-site restaurants to choose from should you not want to venture out. We enjoyed a breakfast one morning in the "open to the public" ground floor restaurant--delicious. On our last day a staff member took us to the platform for our shinkasen train trip--above and beyond (and so helpful--Tokyo Station is confusing and huge!). We loved how central the hotel was, and made great use of all the local transit.

We have always used this hotel since our travels to Japan. Its location is ideal for connectivity and its service and comfort are of the highest order. Highly recommended for business or family visits. It’s also child friendly. Choose it the next time you visit Japan

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Conveniently located with quick access to the train and subway lines. A bit of a maze to learn your way around but that was part of its charm. Ate at several of the hotel affiliated restaurants and they were good as well although, as one would expect, a little pricey. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Text: We chose the TSH as the place that we would recover from our flight and start our journey in Japan, since it looked comfortable and well located. We were very happy with our decision to begin our trip at the TSH. To reiterate what others have said, the helpful and personable staff, the comfortable and beautifully appointed rooms, the breakfast, the convenient location, all worked for us. We had a large king room looking out onto the plaza in front of the hotel and were treated to views of travelers taking photos of the hotel all day long. I love to check out new hotels, and had made several reservations for the two nights we were spending in Tokyo at the end of the trip before traveling back to the states (including a farewell reservation to the iconic Park Hyatt which will be undergoing renovations for about the next year). Somewhere along the way, I realized that I wanted to return to the TSH for the last leg off our journey, which speaks volumes for how pleased I was with the experience. We spent the last two nights in a Dome room, and enjoyed watching the action at the actual station out our window.

We are fortunate to travel often now in retirement, including places all over the world, from small boutique hotels to chain convention center hotels. The Tokyo Station Hotel is hands down a cut above every other place we have stayed, especially when it comes to customer service. This is the perfect place to stay before or after a train ride to places such as Kyoto as we did. It is also centrally located to the major sights in Tokyo. The Imperial Palace is a few blocks to the west. Everything else can be reached by subway, train or taxi with ease. Even though we were only staying one night, they treated us like VIPs from the moment I emailed the concierge months before our arrival. As first time visitors to Japan we appreciated their guidance. They purchased the train tickets in advance for a small handling fee. They were sure to reserve the seats in the bullet train with extra luggage space and get us on the Mt. Fuji side of the train each way. While it was cloudy on the way to Kyoto, on the return to Tokyo we had an extended spectacular view of Mt. Fuji, one of the highlights of our trip. They insisted on walking us through the busy gigantic train station and helped with luggage to make sure we knew exactly where to stand for our assigned rail car. The service from any hotel does not get any better. We were impressed with Japan and Tokyo, and this is one major reason why.
